I’m glad I’m raising my family here because…
Education here is about helping kids succeed – in the classroom and beyond.
“We want to make sure our students are achieving at the highest possible level and can compete wherever they are going, whether that’s the workforce or to college,” says Ginger Andenucio, School District 70 assistant superintendent.
To help accomplish those goals, the district has implemented a multipart program called 21st Century Tools for a 21st Century Education. The program provides laptop computers for all high-school students, installs Promethean whiteboards in every classroom from pre-K through middle school and creates hybrid college classes in the high school, which mixes traditional instruction with online lectures and assignments.
